DAILY ACTIVITY
Creative Activities, Skill Development and Social Connection
At Casa Mia Care Services, our NDIS Daily Activity Program provides participants with meaningful opportunities to develop practical skills, explore their creativity and build social connections in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Our program is designed around each participant’s individual abilities, interests and goals. Activities are adapted to different levels of ability, allowing participants to take part at their own pace while developing confidence, independence and participation skills.
Our Creative & Skill-Building Activities
Sewing Classes
Our sewing activities introduce participants to basic sewing techniques through practical and creative projects. Sewing can support fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, concentration, sequencing and confidence, while giving participants the opportunity to create something they can be proud of.
Pasta Making
Drawing & Painting
Drawing and painting provide opportunities for creative expression, concentration and fine motor development. Participants can explore different materials and techniques while developing confidence in expressing their ideas and making individual choices.
Art & Craft with Recycled Materials
Our art and craft activities make creative use of recycled and everyday materials. Participants can transform simple materials into new projects while developing creativity, problem-solving, planning and fine motor skills.
These activities also encourage participants to think creatively about sustainability and how everyday materials can be reused in new ways.
Building Skills Through Meaningful Activities
Our Daily Activity Program is not simply about keeping participants busy. Each activity provides an opportunity to practise skills in a natural and enjoyable environment.
Depending on the participant’s individual goals and abilities, activities may support:
- Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
- Concentration and attention
- Following instructions and completing tasks
- Planning and problem-solving
- Communication and social interaction
- Confidence and self-expression
- Cooperation and turn-taking
- Independence and participation
Social Connection and Community Participation
Group activities provide participants with opportunities to meet others, communicate, share experiences and develop relationships in a supportive environment.
We encourage participants to contribute to group activities, make choices and develop their confidence in interacting with others. Our aim is to create a positive environment where everyone can participate according to their own abilities.
Activities Based on Individual Strengths
At Casa Mia Care Services, we believe that participants learn best when activities are meaningful, enjoyable and connected to their interests.
Our team adapts activities to suit different abilities and provides encouragement and practical support when needed. Participants are encouraged to build on what they can already do while gradually developing new skills.
Whether someone enjoys sewing, painting, cooking, drawing or creating with recycled materials, our program provides opportunities to learn, create, connect and grow.
